The medallion motif
The medallion pattern can be floral or geometric, or even whimsical: it’s usually a concentric formation of different motifs repeated on the tie.
The advantage is that the pattern is very elaborate, and will often be easy to wear in a sartorial outfit, or even in a business outfit if the colors are sober.
I’d never have thought that such bright colors could go together, but that’s the feat this pattern manages: to calm things down with very sober colors and patterns. Here, she brings light to a very serious business outfit.
