The Paisley motif
Paisley was mostly worn by the son of a good family, first in England but also in Ivy League families. It was one of the few ties whose pattern was considered whimsical but acceptable in a casual setting.
Here, this assertive pattern, which catches the light well, will work well with bold but more matte textures, such as flannel.
