The medallion motif
The medallion pattern can be floral or geometric, or even whimsical: it’s usually a concentric formation of different motifs repeated on the tie.
The advantage is that the pattern is very elaborate, and will often be easy to wear in a sartorial outfit, or even in a business outfit if the colors are sober.
For me, this is the ideal medallion motif: with original colors and thoughtful dimensions. Obviously, it’s not intended for overly austere outfits. Don’t hesitate to wear it with faded patterns, checks or stripes for example.
