The paisley motif
Paisley was mostly worn by the son of a good family, first in England but also in Ivy League families. It was one of the few ties whose pattern was considered whimsical but acceptable in a casual setting.
These days, reserve imposing paisleys for outfits with tweed and flannel, and indulge your business outfits with more discreet patterns.
A much more subtle paisley than the average, as we avoid the giant motifs traditionally found. The paisley look can be worn with any business outfit.
