Patterns and styling tips
The paisley motif
Paisley was mostly worn by the son of a good family, first in England but also in Ivy League families. It was one of the few ties whose pattern was considered whimsical but acceptable in a casual setting.
These days, reserve imposing paisleys for outfits with tweed and flannel, and indulge your business outfits with more discreet patterns.
Here, we have a very tightly-packed mini Paisley pattern that gives a rather busy final result: so wear with plain pieces, with melted patterns or that play more with texture.
